Increased Online Visibility For Harrisons Sauces
6th January 2020
With Christmas over in the click of two fingers, we start 2020 with a fresh positive mindset. We all have our new year’s resolution in place, whether that’s planning a new extra-strict diet that will get us ready for our summer bods or trying to stick out dry January! The team at Lightbox thrives in making our clients happy and by that, we mean delivering results all year round.
In December we saw that Santa delivered his results, worldwide; making children and families very happy. We did something very similar for one particular client, Harrisons Sauces. For the last few weeks, we suspect that you may have indulged in a few pizzas here and there, “given that it’s Christmas”. If we are right, then Harrisons Sauces would have been “there” by providing those delicious dips we all find in the pizza boxes.
Harrisons Sauces are a global sauce supplier that has been going for over 40 years. They provide their products and services to leading airline companies, a very well known pizza company, international logistic networks and more. Harrisons Sauces is the holder of the globally-recognised BRC certificate (Higher) for food safety and product quality, which authorises the company to supply its products to other food manufacturers.
Whether it was the high demand in food over Christmas or our high-quality SEO, Harrisons Sauces traffic shot up 161.58% month on month from 1,494 visits in November to a whopping 3,908 visits in December, now that is a high demand for saucy searches.
The power of increase in visibility
In December we didn’t need any help from Santa Claus, we provided our own gift for the client by increasing their online visibility by 115.25%.
Increasing visibility online simply means getting your website seen more across search engines; it’s all about getting certain terms to rank well alongside other SEO metrics. By ranking well on Google, Bing and Yahoo it means that you have relative keywords to your business driving traffic to your site.
When it comes to SEO the aim of the game is to get your site appearing in the first five pages of Google for high volume and relative search terms (keywords) asap, and once there you progress to the top three pages and eventually page one of Google. SEO is not a short term fix, and takes time. but is well worth it when you get it right.
December delivered page one results
Everyone gets a little excited when you hit page one for a keyword they hold close to their business, right? Maybe it’s just an SEO thing.
In December, Harrisons Sauces had a total of 21 keywords improve their rankings across Google, with an average increase rate of 28%. They saw the following results:
- Sauce sachets – Moved up 39 positions from page 4 to page 1 of Google.
- Sauce sachets UK – Moved up 71 positions from over page 10 to page 3 of Google.
