Overview.

Selectequip are a £5m turnover business that supplies safety products to the rail, construction and agricultural industry throughout the UK.

Lightbox are working with Selectequip to re-imagine their customer engagement and sales pipeline through a powerful Ecommerce solution and digital marketing strategy. We continue to achieve great things with Selectequip.

The Brief.

The brief was to completely manage Selectequip’s movement into the digital world and achieve their longterm goal of significantly increasing market share and revenue. The following project objectives were set:

Development:
Design, develop and launch a robust ecommerce system. Develop a bespoke customer account dashboard & management system. Manage the migration of supplier product data.

Digital Marketing:
Create a multi channel digital marketing strategy utilising paid and organic search campaigns to drive traffic to the new ecommerce platform and convert product sales.

What we did.

We created a multi device ecommerce solution that allows Selectequip to take their vast product range to the wider market and drive growth through an aggressive digital strategy. Existing customers manage their account through a bespoke trade only dashboard that provides live feedback for credit allowance.

Result.

The result is a responsive eccommerce solution that exploits digital technologies and approaches to UX providing Selectequip with a futureproof platform to drive growth. The digital product not only accelerates revenue growth potential and brand perception, but also streamlines Selectequips internal work ow through stock management integration and marketing automation.

As well as developing the B2C e-commerce solution, Selectequip's digital transformation has created the opportunity for the business to provide their key clients with a dedicated product hub allowing them to easily build repeat orders and quickly order products. We have developed a multi-site setup that allows us to launch new 'hub' experiences populated with bespoke products for that specific customer.

Data Handling.

Selectequip came to Lightbox wanting to be able to handle vast amounts of data from a range of suppliers with ease. This meant our data import process needed to be able to handle over 40,000 lines of data from 18 different suppliers, all in different formats.

We delivered a completely dynamic import system that can be easily scaled to include future suppliers and data changes, whilst still being simple enough for Selectequip staff to use on a weekly basis to update their product details.

This functionality has been critical in introducing bulk changes in line with ongoing promotions and marketing.

The future.

It’s early days as the Selectequip ecommerce website only launched two months ago but the user data is showing positive results all round.

Lightbox have created a multi channel digital strategy that incorporates proactive organic and paid search campaigns for the next 12 months to grow online visibilty and revenue.

Based on analytical data, we are consistently working on Conversion Rate Optimisation for the website along with a scheduled development programme to implement new features to the user experience.
