Overview.

University of Birmingham School are a future thinking, pioneering school who have a unique approach to education and character building.

The Brief.

We were approached by the University of Birmingham School (UoBS) to transform their digital asset and reposition them as a thought leading, pioneering school. It was important that the new website told their story and delivered a unique experience to visitors.

The new website had to deliver important information to parents, offer pupils a vibrant platform of information and attract/convert new sixth form students.

What We Did.

We conducted a digital workshop to fully understand the requirements of the project and the varying audience groups. This knowledge would allow us to develop a content hierarchy throughout each user experience to deliver the required information quickly.

We wanted to position UoBS as a visionary thought leader so we created a colour palette and image treatment that offers a vibrant experience that reflects the journey that students embark upon. This approach also differentiates UoBS on the digital landscape and serves to inspire and excite prospects.

It was important that UoBS could easily publish new content and stay connected to parents through quality content and distribution of important information including ‘breaking news’.

Result.

We made life easy for all project stakeholders by developing a digital asset that is easy to manage and access information. The website positions UoBS as a visionary school that is rethinking education and creating rounded citizens and a thriving community.

Following launch of the website, we created and launch a multi-channel digital marketing campaign to attract prospective sixth form students. The campaign encompassed SEO, Social Advertising targeting specific demographic groups and Remarketing. The results were as follows:

  • 475,000 website impressions costing £0.004 per impression.
  • 1,289 Sixth Form page visits from Facebook campaign costing £0.16 per visit.
  • 1,283 Sixth Form applications (Conversions)across all digital campaigns.
  • 140% increase in organic traffic from SEO campaign.
