Defining a brand & product

Techdeck is a digital product with a single mission – simplify the way businesses connect to the best IT talent around the globe.

When Techdeck approached us, they saw an opportunity in the IT market to create a digital platform that would effectively connect IT Technicians to contract oppirtunities around the world. The idea was good but they needed help in shaping their brand and digital product.

Discovery & Collaboration

We facilitated a series of product workshops to help define a product proposition and scope of work. We identified the high level requirements of each user group and created a series of meaningful user journeys that then informed the key functionalities of the product.

For this project, we really focussed on the sign up journey for both IT Technicians looking for contracts and Businesses posting job/contract opportunities. In both cases, the user experience needed to be obvious, effortless and as efficient as possible whilst capturing all of the key information to align candidate skillsets to contract opportunities.

Simple profile creation

We designed and developed a simple profile creation journey for both technicians (candidates) and businesses. The sign up process utilises a blend of simple one click ‘choice’ fields, dropdown menus and text input fields. We also focussed on giving the user consistent feedback as they travel through the sign up process which validates the actions they are completing.

A brand experience

The goal of the front end of the website is to successfully position Techdeck as a market leader in IT recruitment from the outset. We designed clean layouts that feel ‘at home’ in the tech/SAAS priduct market place with a nice balance of human centred visuals and illustrations to explain the process. Being a new brand to the market, it was important that users quickly understood the Techdeck proposition.

The digital brand had to feel like an extablished household name and be easy to use whilst also driving the onboarding of users and businesses.

Activation

Following the launch of the website, the first mission was to onboard users across the world and grow the exposure of the brand and product to the intended adience groups within the IT community.



To do this we set up a series of Paid Social Media campaigns targeted at those user groups with the goal of acquiring new users. We also setup a series of retargeting campaigns to stay connected to those users whilst they were in the ‘consideration’ phase of acquiring them as a signed up user.
