LoveBrum is a registered charity that supports hidden gem projects across Birmingham that are often volunteer led and that deliver real change, with outcomes that can be seen, measured, enjoyed, and loved.

Lightbox fully embraced the opportunity to support LoveBrum by designing and building them a new website so they could support the ‘hard-to-reach’ projects; those causes that are not that well profiled, or do not receive the platform, and funding, that they deserve.

Visual Design

1700+% LoveBrum members and this continues to grow each month.


At Lightbox we were able to provide the LoveBrum charity with the ability to write articles, promote events, sell memberships and other merchandise through their website.

There is also the facility for members to login to the website where each month LoveBrum members can have their voice heard and vote for a cause that they feel is deserving of valuable funding.


LoveBrum is a movement for an even better Birmingham and – simply put – it does so much for the city. It was therefore very important to make sure that we were able to communicate all of its offering, effectively.

We had to make sure that we built a site that was clean and slick – something that would help innovate the way this organisation approached charity-giving – whilst ensuring every service, messsage and functionality required was available.


The new website was designed from the ground up and as with any project at Lightbox this firstly involved sketching ideas and layout before even setting the project up in any design software.

We were able to utilise a series of strong branding assets and illustrations for the design of the website which created a visual correlation across all creative collateral.

The LoveBrum website contains some bespoke features, allowing users to donate to the charity, purchase brand merchandise and vote for the cause of the month.

It was exciting to work on such a project that was much more playful than what we are used to working on as a development team.
